Overview

Our network provides service bots for registration, channel management and protection.

Channel Service – Channel Management

• /msg R REQUESTBOT <#channel> – Request a bot for a channel
• /msg M ADDUSER <#channel> – Grant channel op
• /msg M CHANLEV <#channel> – Show rights

SpamScan

• /MSG R REQUESTSPAMSCAN <#channel> – Add SpamScan (S) to the target channel (requires a larger user base in the channel over time)

ControlService / Security

Checks new users for known patterns. Settings currently global; contact admin if issues.

HostServ (vHost Service)

/msg H VHOST <ident> <host>

Best Practices

• Start channel without unnecessary modes
• Enable moderation (+m) only when needed
• Spot spam: repeated links, mass joins, identical messages

• List Account Service commands: /msg M HELP
• Group an alternate nick: /msg M GROUP
• Assign a bot: /msg R REQUESTBOT #channel BotNick
• Change password: /msg M SET PASSWORD
• Request password reset: /msg M RESETPASS MyNick
